This week's episode of NXT didn't feature any matches, but we did get some very effective and well-presented interview/promo segments, including a full recap of the storied friendship and eventual rivalry between former NXT Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Both men looked back fondly on their early careers as the DIY tag-team, and both had different views on what ultimately led to Ciampa turning on his partner. Gargano also gives us an explanation as to why he decided to cost Ciampa the title and rekindle their feud when they appeared to have reconciled. Basically, he doesn't trust The Blackheart and believes he's "the worst person in NXT."

These guys will clash for what will likely be the final time at TakeOver: Tampa, and it's sure to be one of the highlights of the event.
