NXT Superstar Matt Riddle has been in the news lately due to his harsh comments regarding WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. The ‘King of Bros’ has stated his reasoning in the past for why he’s not a fan of the former Universal Champion, citing that he’s an unsafe worker. Riddle reinforces his statement on Talksport, making it clear that he’s not causing controversy in order to get his name in the media (transcript courtesy wrestlezone.com):
“He just has three-minute matches. I don’t care how much money he makes, I’m just glad people were entertained. But, stick to your wheelhouse, bro. And stop headbutting doors before you wrestle. And I’m not hating – I’m not hating – I’m just spitting facts and these are all facts and things he should take into consideration. And not just for me, not because he got made fun of, but for his health as well.”
Riddle also has a documented history of calling out Brock Lesnar, as the NXT star has stated on numerous occasions that he wants to be the man to end the former Universal champion’s career. Despite looking to put an end to Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle states that he does have respect for ‘The Beast Incarnate’:
“I have a huge amount of respect for Lesnar. You know, he’s done everything since he came into it. He works hard. You don’t look like Lesnar without working hard. You don’t pick up things, get to the top of multiple industries and sports without working hard.”
