When it comes to Gail Kim and the WWE, the current Impact Wrestling star hasn't been afraid to voice her displeaure about her time within the company.
During her recent interview with DS Shin of Ring The Belle, the former WWE superstar weighed in on the topic of racism when it comes to her former employer, stating that she doesn’t believe that Vince McMahon sees people of color as the face of the company (transcript courtesy of

“I truly believe that, in [Vince McMahon’s] mind, he doesn’t think that someone of color could be his face of the company,” said Kim. The Impact Hall of famer disagreed with that thought process;
“if you can connect to the audience in some way, you can be at the top.
Kim also speaks on worrying about any ethnic talents being hired by the company. WWE tends to group different ethnicities together under outdated stereotypes, and being a former WWE talent, Kim knows the mindset of Vince and company, which is why she worries about talents such Asuka or Kairi Sane:
“When I see talented people [like Asuka and Kairi Sane] get hired, I do worry for them because I just know what kind of talent they have,” said Kim.
“And I’m worried about the stereotypes in this business. In a lot of cases, a lot of the ethnic minorities [get] grouped together because [the WWE] doesn’t know what else to do.”
