With over a dozen matches on the lineup and many of them involving championships from All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2025 had a lot of potential to shake up the rosters. Which champions were able to hold onto their belts and which titles have new champions coming out of The O2 Arena in London, England? Here's your breakdown of the title scenes after this pay-per-view!
AEW World Trios Championship: The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs) retained their titles over New Japan's The Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney, and Robbie X) during the Zero Hour pre-show.
AEW TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher retained his title over New Japan's Hiromu Takahashi by pinfall.
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. retained his title over Nigel McGuinness by pinfall. He showed respect to McGuinness after the match, as did Daniel Garcia (who was ringside in Nigel's corner) without any kind of animosity. For those curious, Sabre Jr. is scheduled to face Konosuke Takeshita sometime in the future after Takeshita won this year's G1 Climax tournament.
*** AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) lost the tag team titles to Brodido (Bandido and Brody King). FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) were also involved in this three-way, and it was Harwood who took the pinfall from Bandido to lead to the finish, while The Hurt Syndicate were busy brawling with Ricochet and The Gates of Agony, who had interfered during the match to go after the champions possibly as a means of payback for turning down Ricochet, or possibly by proxy of their partnership with MJF after MVP had threatened Maxwell Jacob Friedman that if he won the AEW World Championship, Lashley would be coming for him.
AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada retained over Swerve Strickland and then continued to attack Swerve's leg, seemingly writing him off television. Wardlow also helped beat down Prince Nana and joined The Don Callis Family in this segment.
AEW Women's World Championship: "Timeless" Toni Storm retained her title over Athena, who used up her Casino Gauntlet contract to get this title shot.
AEW World Championship: "Hangman" Adam Page retained over MJF, who still has his contract that can be executed in the future. Tony Khan clarified on the post-show press conference that the contract has a one-week in advance stipulation to it now.
