ACH is officially gone from the WWE.

Yesterday, it was revealed that the 2019 Breakout tournament winner had booked several independent gigs, which posed the question, was ACH still under a WWE contract?

It was confirmed by Fightful that the 31-year-old was no longer under contract with the company. While WWE has been very strict about releasing talents since AEW formed, Dave Meltzer reported a while back that the company would release talent for disciplinary reasons.

In fact, former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJP was reportedly let go alongside KENTA (Hideo Itami) and Tye Dillinger due to disciplinary reasons, though the former 205 Live star denies that he had any issues backstage.

The ACH story has dominated headlines since the former NXT star called out the company for a t-shirt that resembled black face. While the shirt was ultimately taken down, ACH’s tirade’s on WWE didn’t stop there, as he claims the company was full of racists and highlighted the return of Hulk Hogan as one of his examples.

ACH quit WWE on November 13, though at the time, he was still under contract with the promotion. On a recent Q&A session, ACH noted that he would like to return to New Japan because he feels that he has unfinished business there.

The former NXT star does have ties with New Japan, as he’s had a brief stint with the company back in 2016 – 2018; however, it’s been speculated that many top promotions are hesitant to hire ACH due to the way things ended with the WWE.
