AEW's "Hangman" Adam Page Hits Back At WWE Superstar Kane For Controversial Opinions On Russia And Ukraine

These days, WWE's Big Red Machine, Kane, is better known as Knoxville's Mayor Glenn Jacobs. Now that he rarely makes in-ring appearances as an active wrestler, Jacobs tends to share a lot of political opinions on social media that, given his current role, obviously isn't a surprise!

Not everyone is going to like what he has to say, though, and some recent remarks that appeared to support Russia's invasion of Ukraine have been met with a significant amount of backlash online.

After Tweeting out what sounded like a defence of President Putin's actions by taking some shots at the "Left," Kane was bombarded with negative reactions to what he had to say, including from current AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page. As you can see below, he shared links to websites where people can help those caught in the crossfire in Ukraine...and a little something else.

Despite saying nothing directly to the future WWE Hall of Famer, Page shared a video revisiting the many times Kane was hit on the head with a steel chair. We're sure you see what he was getting at!

While it may not be surprising that Russia/Putin invaded Ukraine, it has nothing to do with the Left or weakness.

Putin feels like NATO has hacked Russia into a corner because nearly every country on Russia's border has joined NATO. He saw that Ukraine was starting talks to join, so he's trying to stop that.

What seems so stupid to me is that NATO doesn't go on recruiting runs or forcibly make countries join them. They join of their own free will. Putin is trying to remove that free will from Ukraine. He even threatened Finland that they would get the same if Finland tried to join NATO. This is the Communist way. Remove people's ability to think freely and forcibly Put a stop to anything you don't agree with.

What doesn't make sense is that even if Russia takes over Ukraine, it doesn't change the fact that NATO is still all over their border. The result will be the same, whether Ukraine joins NATO, or if Russia takes over Ukraine.

Kane's comments seem very odd here. Why on earth would any American think its okay for a Communist country to invade and overtake a peaceful democracy? I just don't understand it.

His comments about strength also seem funny considering Russia is having a very hard time making any headway in the war they started. They thought they would be able to just steamroll Ukraine, and they really haven't made much progress at all. In fact their casualties are about 4 times as high as Ukraine's casualties, and they have yet to secure any of their objectives.

Of course it is about weakness.
And yes, some political groups and other organizations they exert influence on have relentlessly pushed an agenda focusing on ignoring basic human biology and suppressing female athletes. Meanwhile go look at Russian and Chicom military recruiting advertisements and compare them with those in the US which again, focusing on things like having 2 mothers instead of training to fight. Which ones are focused on war fighting?

I am as far away from anything pro Russian as you can get. I trained for years to fight them so as a result I do respect them. Russia was upset hat we didn’t honor agreements made decades ago regarding expansion of NATO into the buffer “states.” I’m not claiming I agree with hem, but this is part of their premise so you have to acknowledge it.

As for NATO, we have payed the burden of money, resources, and troops for far too long. EU countries took money they basically saved by using our military to fund their social programs. They can’t even fully equip most of their own armies with personal weapons (I am not referring to crew served weapons although they are short there as well). And NATO cannot randomly make people join them as you suggested. If they tried, we may as well call it the Warsaw Pact at that point.
