When WWE Elimination Chamber comes to Chicago on February 28, 2026, The Second City Saint will officially be in action along with his wife, both with titles on the line.
During tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, there was a backstage segment in The Judgment Day clubhouse with Dominik Mysterio talking to a sulkin Finn Balor. Dirty Dom tried to cheer up his teammate by saying once JD McDonagh comes back, the two of them can go back to focusing on winning the World Tag Team Championship titles. Balor still has the World Heavyweight Championship in his sights, though, and is tired of being an afterthought.
This was enough to provoke him to go to the ring and demand a match against CM Punk, which Raw General Manager Adam Pearce was vehemently opposed to, as he does not want to risk the main event of WrestleMania and the marquee of CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns.
Punk, however, was more than game for the match, using his stroke as champion to wear down Pearce and convince him to make the match official, with Pearce booking it for the Elimination Chamber premium live event. This was upsetting to the Cleveland audience, who were hoping they would get the match on Raw instead.
But it won't just be Punk added to the card, as AJ Lee has managed to get a shot at the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Starting off the show, Becky Lynch flipped her lid at the idea that Lee was even in the building, leading to an in-ring promo between the two. Lynch had a meltdown and was antagonized by Lee over how The Geek Goddess has beaten her twice (Wrestlepalooza and War Games) and cost her the Women's Intercontinental Championship. This ultimately led to Lee being granted her first title shot in over a decade and a match between the two booked for Elimination Chamber.
These two matches join the men's and women's Elimination Chamber matches to likely round out the card.
