With Daniel Bryan refusing to compete in Saudi Arabia and WWE's plans to insert him into Crown Jewel via green screen falling flat, Samoa Joe was named as the Phenomenal One's new opponent on this Tuesday's SmackDown Live. As expected, though, The Samoan Destroyer once again failed to become WWE Champion, thereby leaving Styles free to beat CM Punk's record-breaking reign.

It was a solid enough match but Styles picked up the 1-2-3 after hitting the Phenomenal Forearm. The announcers were quick to point out that Styles will have been champion for one year by next week.

It's now clear that the company is either looking to have Styles become the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era or are building him up so that when he's finally beaten, his challenger will look like a huge star. Who do you think will ultimately dethrone Styles? Share your thoughts down below.
