Several matches have been announced for next week's episode of WWE NXT, which will take place in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. This will be the go-home episode leading into WWE Vengeance Day and is set to feature two title matches and some other featured talent in some interesting situations.
First up, as previously reported, Lexis King will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Fandango (aka JDC from TNA Wrestling). As per the new rules for the Heritage Cup explained by King, this is no longer a British Rounds setup, but will just be a one-fall winner-takes-all scenario (IE, this will be a normal title match like any other belt).
Another championship will be up for grabs in a steel cage match as Tony D'Angelo has a rematch against Ridge Holland.
This came about after Holland defeated Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo on tonight's episode, despite the interference attempt from Izzi Dame, who was once again trying to cost Holland the match. Holland approached The D'Angelo Family backstage to say that he knows if he had a one-on-one match against D'Angelo where no one like Dame interferes, he could beat him. Dame then suggested the two have a steel cage match to settle the score as Shawn Spears, Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen watched on in the background.
Two other matches were made spontaneously in NXT General Manager Ava's office in the same segment, but had been built up throughout the night.
During the NXT Women's Championship Summit promo segment, Cora Jade went on the attack with a kendo stick, missing a swipe at Roxanne Perez, but landing several strikes against Giulia and Bayley. Bayley would burst into Ava's office to demand a match against Cora Jade, even if it meant adding her to the title bout at Vengeance Day. Ava instead decided to keep it simple and booked them for a singles contest next week on NXT.
Also, earlier in the night, Axiom and Nathan Frazer were approached by Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in the locker room. Briggs claimed that Fraxiom has been dodging them, but the tag team champions said they haven't. They have a title defense this week on TNA Impact against Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth, and they suggested if Briggs and Inamura want to show that they're the rightful No. 1 contenders, they should beat some more tag teams.
As a result, Briggs and Inamura went looking for tag teams to agree to a match against them next week, and it turns out both succeeded. Briggs set up a match against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, while Inamura got the No Quarter Catch Crew to agree. Ava decided to combine the two matches into one, so there will be a Triple Threat tag team match between them.
To recap, here is the announced lineup so far for next week's NXT:
- Bayley vs Cora Jade
- Triple Threat Tag Team Match: Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura vs Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs. No Quarter Catch Crew (duo not confirmed)
- Steel Cage Match for the NXT North American Championship: Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. Ridge Holland
- NXT Heritage Cup Match: Lexis King (c) vs. JDC (Fandango)
