Brock Lesnar Returns To SMACKDOWN To Target An Unexpected Superstar; Title Match Now Set For DAY 1 PPV

With Brock Lesnar no longer suspended, last night's episode of SmackDown kicked off with The Beast hitting the ring to make his interest in Roman Reigns' Universal Championship clear. With that, new #1 contender Sami Zayn came out, and after only what can be described as a major burial, Zayn had been convinced by Lesnar to challenge Reigns for his title in the show's main event.

Shortly before the main event could begin, Zayn made a fee unwise remarks to Lesnar that resulted in him being absolutely decimated by the dominant former UFC star.

Shortly after he made his way to the back, the Head of the Table, Paul Heyman, and The Usos all appeared, and Reigns beat Zayn in a matter of seconds after hitting him with a Spear. Now, it's official: at the Day 1 PPV on January 1, Lesnar will once again challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship.

We weren't expecting that to take place until WrestleMania, but it's possible another screwy finish is planned. Either way, we're sure many fans of Zayn's will be unhappy with last night's SmackDown.
