Charlotte Flair Returns To SMACKDOWN And Shocks The World; Spoilers On WRESTLEMANIA Plans For Ronda Rousey

During last night's episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair made her long-awaited return to WWE and shocked the world in a match with Ronda Rousey. As well as a recap, we have a big WrestleMania rumour too...

Ronda Rousey defended the SmackDown Women's Championship against Raquel Rodriguez during last night's episode of SmackDown, and ended up retaining her title after locking in her patented arm bar.

However, the Baddest Woman on the Planet was then confronted by The Queen; yes, Charlotte Flair has finally returned to WWE! She made her intentions clear immediately, demanding a rematch right then and there. While Shayna Baszler attempted to convince Rousey to just walk away after a gruelling match with Rodriquez, the cocky heel accepted.

After being taken down by Flair's big boot, the champion kicked out and even survived a spear. Reversing the move into an arm bar, it looked like Rousey would live to fight another day, but The Queen countered that and managed to nab the 1-2-3. As a result, we have a new SmackDown Women's Champion!

Needless to say, this has raised a lot of questions about what WWE is planning for WrestleMania, and WrestlingNews.co is reporting that rumoured plans for a match between Rousey and Becky Lynch have been scrapped.

"We have not been told yet what the plans are for Lynch but WWE sources say that Rousey is scheduled to defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Rhea Ripley," the site explains.

That sounds like one heckuva match, though we're assuming this means Rousey will regain the title from Flair in the coming weeks, leaving WrestleMania plans for her unclear. It's also hard to say whether this means a babyface turn for Ripley is coming.

As always, stay tuned for updates.
