Could Chelsea Green and Ethan Page be the next AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions?
The World’s Best Canadians could have some gold around their waist as it’s been confirmed that Chelsea Green and Ethan Page will step up and challenge La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana for the AAA titles. The AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions originally won those belts back at Cierre De La Gira Origenes by beating Crazzy Steve & Havok in December 2024.
Their recent defense was against NXT’s Lola Vice and Lince Dorado. Mr. Iguana has become quite the sensation since this merger between AAA and WWE. Despite the gimmick mostly being comedic, he’s quite the accomplished highflyer as the veteran was able to hang with Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater at the Halloween Havoc PLE on Saturday.
La Hiedra is an accomplished wrestler in her own right. The 28-year-old has been an active wrestler for 14 years and has won both singles and tag team gold. This will be the first time that these two step into the ring against Ethan Page and Chelsea Green. The NXT stars came together during the North American Champion’s feud against Tavion Heights in August.
Green and Page had their first mixed tag team match together at NXT Heatwave and the duo were able to beat Heights and Tyra Mae Steele in a bout that went nearly ten minutes. Thus far, Green and Page remain undefeated as a team, though to be fair, Green and Page have only worked one match together. There were reports that Page could be called with Green, but given his recent win over El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. at Halloween Havoc, it’s doubtful that they plan to bring the North American Champion on the main roster right now.
