WWE is currently focused on building to the Saturday Night's Main Event show next weekend, but Survivor Series: WarGames and the Royal Rumble will be here before you know it.
In our latest WWE rumor roundup, we have updates on the statuses of wrestlers like AJ Lee, Seth Rollins, and Austin Theory, along with news on WrestleMania 42, increased WWE ticket prices, and a pretty bizarre anecdote about the late Bray Wyatt.
Check out the latest WWE rumors below, but be warned that there may be spoilers for upcoming shows...
- A recent banner advertisement for the November 17 edition of RAW featured AJ Lee. We haven't seen her since Wrestlepalooza, but Lee has now been removed from the banner, suggesting she won't be on that show after all.
- According to Fightful Select, WWE and Netflix are considering moving RAW's start time to 7pm ET again "for a couple of December and January episodes." As of now, though, "nothing is for sure."
- Seth Rollins looks set to be sidelined with a shoulder injury for the foreseeable future, and that's had a huge impact on WWE's plans for The Vision. We recently learned that the plan had been for Austin Theory to join Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed, and some in WWE are still "pushing" for that, reports @WrestleVotes.
- Regardless of what happens on that front, Theory "still has internal support moving forward to reappear on TV in a significant manner."
- Talking of Rollins, Dave Meltzer has learned that the former World Heavyweight Champion will miss "a minimum of several months" following surgery. Jacob Fatu, meanwhile, is "expected back before the end of the year."
- Former WWE writer Nick Manfredini recently told Freddie Prinze Jr. that cult leader Charles Manson was eager to meet Bray Wyatt after seeing his WWE promos. However, either Vince McMahon and Triple H "immediately squashed" the notion of shooting a WWE Network special with the Eater of Worlds and Manson.
- Wrestlenomics shared an interesting piece revealing that WWE ticket prices have almost doubled since TKO took control of the company a little over two years ago. Despite that, ticket demands remain high, likely a result of the company's increased popularity and fewer live events (meaning the only way to see WWE Superstars is at RAW or SmackDown).
- PWInsider.com reports that several big names, such as Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were at WWE HQ this week to film material, which are likely teasers for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas next year.
- While not strictly WWE-related, Melzter has claimed that former WWE Superstar Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) is charging "$25,000 per appearance," leading to an independent promoter turning her down. The pro wrestling historian posits that "people who she isn’t interested in working for who get that quote," and believes there are probably "different deals cut elsewhere."
