Neither Cody Rhodes nor Seth Rollins will compete at Elimination Chamber, but it's now been confirmed that they'll both appear on the show. It was Grayson Waller who broke the news that the American Nightmare and World Heavyweight Champion will appear on a special edition of the "Grayson Waller Effect."
WWE Champion Roman Reigns isn't expected to head down under, but there were previously rumblings that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might.
We'd be shocked if something doesn't happen during this promo segment which sets the stage for WrestleMania, anyway, and Waller recently made his feelings known about the way fans have turned on the Brahma Bull.
"I have never in my life seen so many people who can barely read and write caring about a story. It absolutely boggles my mind," the heel said. "A few months ago everyone was [saying], 'Oh Rock come back!' How long have they wanted The Rock vs. Roman Reigns? People have been begging for it for years, then they get it and now they’re complaining about it."
"It just shows in a way how stupid these fans are. They want this, but [then they say] we don’t want it now, we want it here. It’s like just shut up."
Elimination Chamber takes place at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, on Saturday, February 24. Due to the time difference, the show won't start until 5am ET; with that in mind, we're not expecting too much from this one.
The card is shaping up to be pretty exciting, though, and currently looks like this:
Men's Elimination Chamber Match
Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. Bobby Lashley vs. TBA vs. TBA
Women's Elimination Chamber Match
Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. TBA vs. TBA
WWE Women’s World Championship Match
Rhea Ripley (Champion) vs. Nia Jax
Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match
The Judgment Day vs. Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate
Rumour has it WWE has decided to pull Jade Cargill from the show after originally planning to have her compete inside the Elimination Chamber. We're not sure what's changed, but it could be that the company decided against having her lose the bout (as of now, it's obvious Becky Lynch will challenge Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania).
