Cody Rhodes at one point looked like WWE's next big star, but after being shoehorned into the role of Stardust, it quickly became apparent that the company had other ideas about how they wanted to use him. As a result, Rhodes decided to leave WWE behind and has since made quite the impact everywhere from Ring of Honor to Impact Wrestling and New Japan.

Bearing all that in mind, you'd think that Rhodes could be eyeing a return to WWE as someone they finally take seriously. However, in a new interview, he's revealed that he currently has "no incentive" to head back to the company and is in fact perfectly happy doing his thing all across the world.

"I don't want to sound negative but being part of history right now and this new era and new boom. I didn't get that while in WWE. So currently there is no incentive for me to return to WWE. I'm making more money than I was with WWE. I've been in some unbelievable matchups. Two are coming up. I love WWE. Just currently there is no incentive. There are some things I would love to be a part of. I would love to be part of the Dusty tag team tournament. At the same time I don't think I'm playing a revenge song here. I don't think I'm ready to move out of the spot of where I'm at."

It's easy to see where he's coming from and it actually sounds like he'd be open to being used as an independent contractor of sorts in a brand like NXT. For now, though, Rhodes is clearly happy with how things are going for him, something which doesn't come as a surprise considering the fact he's making more money now!

Chances are he will return to WWE eventually, of course, but for the time being Rhodes seems content where he is and given the rave reviews he's been getting, that's no bad thing for wrestling fans!
