A Title vs. Title And WRESTLEMANIA 34 Rematch Has Been Added To TNA's SLAMMIVERSARY

Two huge matches were made official on Thursday. 

The first pits Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali against one another in a WrestleMania 34 rematch. This all started a few weeks ago as there has been a mystery angle around the Order 4. Mustafa Ali has not been happy lately, so the group has been talking to a mysterious man of Ali’s past. That man turned out to be Cedric Alexander.

Ali and Cedric confronted each other on Thursday. The latter took the calm approach, but the former X-Division Champion wasn’t having any of it! He refused Cedric’s help and claimed that the former WWE star took everything away from him. Ali proposed the match at Slammiversary because he wants to finally beat his old foe. Cedric accepted. Ali tried to sucker punch Cedric, but the new TNA star got the better of their exchange.

But that wasn’t the only big match confirmed for Slammiversary.

There will be a first-ever title vs. title match. It was confirmed that Masha Slamovich will put the knockouts title on the line against the NXT Women’s Champion after Evolution II.

This is the first time that a title vs. title match between the two companies has ever happened. There’s been plenty of matches where TNA and NXT defended their respective belts against the opposing company, with Trick Williams notably winning the TNA World Championship. But now, a woman will hold two belts from NXT and TNA. WWE seemingly teased that it will be Jacy Jayne, but Slamovich and Grace have plenty of history so it’s a toss-up on who could step into Slammiversary as the NXT Women’s Champion.
