Over the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed some subtle changes to WWE programming. RAW has a new theme and logo and many promos are being delivered via social media videos rather than backstage interviews. Now, SmackDown Live is undergoing a pretty radical transformation with the introduction of a brand new rankings system for its Superstars.
As you can see in the video below, it will reportedly be used to rank wrestlers on their merit and talent and it will be other Superstars who vote for their allies and rivals, not fans or authority figures.
The top ten list will then be used by Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon to decide who from the men and women's rosterare most deserving of opportunities based on overall talent, locker room leadership, and athletic abilities. It's unclear just how much of an impact this will have on the show or if it's actually going to make it better but it certainly differentiates SmackDown Live from RAW!
Do you guys think this is a good idea? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts down below.
