In 2013, Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase during the RAW the night after WrestleMania in order to beat Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. It's remembered as one of the best cash-ins of all-time by wrestling fans and you'd think that it would be a highlight of Ziggler's career but during a recent interview, he explained why that isn't actually the case for him.
"No, it’s not [my favorite] safe to say that. It’s a cool moment, and the reason it happened was because of the fans, and how we all worked to make it come together. It was a pretty awesome thing, I will never forget it. But a lot of moments that have been bigger for me are being hurt, and having a pulled groin or separated shoulder, and still going out and doing 30 or 45 minute matches, and setting the bar for everyone else even when I’m not a 100 percent."
Due to a concussion, Ziggler's reign didn't last particularly long and he was turned babyface shortly after and quickly lost his momentum. As a result, it's easy to see why he doesn't look back too fondly on this moment and there are a lot of matches he's been involved in which clearly mean more. What do you guys think?
