When Vince McMahon was forced into retirement, Triple H took charge of WWE Creative and brought back many of the Superstars the disgraced Chairman had released. Among them were three of the four members of Hit Row.
Unfortunately for The Game, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott had already signed with AEW at that stage; still, with Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla, and B-Fab, he clearly hoped he could do something with the group. Unfortunately, fans never warmed to them and something about their gimmick didn't quite click.
The final nail in Hit Row's coffin arguably came when Top Dolla, who now uses his real name AJ Francis, botched a leap over the top rope on an episode of SmackDown. The commentators dubbed him "Flop Dolla" and fans turned the heavyweight rapper into a subject of ridicule.
Top Dolla has claimed WWE had plans for him and Michael Cole to wrestle each other and now says that the botch saved his life (while also sharing another excuse for why he was unable to pull the move off).
"The botch saved my life," he states in the X post below. "I made that dive a dozen times before, legs felt off but I didn't think about it. After I failed I went to the [doctor] [and] found out I had Type II diabetes & my blood sugar was 626. I almost lost my life & was about to lose both feet. The botch saved my life."
After learning of his diabetes, Top Dolla has lost a lot of weight and is now down to 330lbs.
Ashante "Thee" Adonis and B-Fab are still signed with WWE and there have been hints in recent weeks that the latter plans to ally herself with Bobby Lashley's new stable (which also includes The Street Profits). However, with fans cheering the trio, the idea may well have been abandoned.
