Former two-time WWE women’s champion Lisa Marie Varon – best known as Victoria in WWE – has announced that 2019 will be her final year inside the wrestling ring.

The former WWE superstar first made her presence known when she defeated Trish Stratus at Survivor 2002 in a hardcore match for the WWE women’s championship.

Victoria would go on to win the title one more time before she left the company in 2009. Her last appearance was at WrestleMania 25 in the divas battle royal.

Victoria would then have a brief stint with then named TNA wrestling. Under the name of Tara, the former WWE superstar was able to capture the Knockouts championship five times. She also won the now defunct Knockouts Tag Team titles once with Brooke Tessmacher.

Tara left the company in 2013 and has claimed that she has no interest in returning to TNA.

Since then, the former WWE women’s champion has made brief appearances on the independent scene. Should Lisa Marie Varon retire in 2019, she will go down as one of the best and perhaps the most underrated female talent in professional wrestling.
