Former WWE Writer Vince Russo Believes This TNA Faction Is "1000% Times Better Than The Bloodline"

Vince Russo's hot takes never fail to raise eyebrows among pro wrestling fans, and he's now said that a popular TNA faction he helped create remains miles better than WWE's Bloodline. Read on for details!

The Bloodline has quickly emerged as WWE's most dominant and popular faction (though The Judgement Day is currently giving them a run for their money on RAW).

While Jey Uso is no longer part of the group, Roman Reigns remains allied with Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa, with the latter on the verge of a main event run after defeating John Cena at Crown Jewel. The Head of the Table's record-breaking reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is expected to end at WrestleMania next year, and it's clear The Bloodline's time together may be starting to wind down.

Some have already hailed them as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, pro wrestling faction of all time. However, someone who doesn't agree with that is former WCW, WWE, and TNA writer Vince Russo.

Talking on his podcast, Writing with Russo, he shared his belief that TNA's Main Event Mafia is "1000% better than Bloodline, not even close." He'd go on to say, "You had one major player in the Bloodline and a bunch of supporting roles. These guys were all freaking superstars. Not even close."

Russo's takes are divisive at the best of times, but this is borderline delusional.

In fairness, the group was comprised of big stars, including Kurt Angle, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Samoa Joe, and Traci Brooks. Christian Cage later joined their ranks, while a second iteration was made up of Sting, Angle, Joe, Magnus - currently SmackDown Nick Aldis - and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rampage Jackson.

Russo went on to take credit for the faction's creation but did give Nash his props for naming them.

Still, it's hard to take him seriously, especially when he was recently quoted as saying, "Cody Rhodes is not over to the casual fan. He's not. I have no interest in watching 'Raw.' If there was a mega-star on that show, I would want to watch him. That's what a casual fan is, bro. If it's good, I'm gonna watch it. If it's bad, I'm gonna watch something else."

"They've done nothing with this guy, outside of [having] him go out there every week and say, 'Farmingville, New York, what do you want to talk about?'" Russo added. "Cody doesn't write the show. They've done nothing with him."

Yes, that is indeed the same Cody Rhodes who fans are desperate to see dethrone Reigns at WrestleMania next year...

At this point, I'd prefer to see LA Knight dethrone Roman.
I'd set it as the last match of a PPV, all through the night members of the bloodline would get taken out in some way or form, beaten up and sent off to the hospital, handcuffed or locked in a cage or room, start with Jimmy, then Solo, finish off somehow taking Heyman out of the equation too (possibly during LA Knights entrance itself), forcing a one on one confrontation between LA Knight and Reigns, even having Knight talk up the fact that he took out all the bloodline to finally force Reigns into a "fair fight".
