Here's Why The Hardy Boyz Were Absent From WWE RAW And Other Canadian Live Events Last Week

You may have noticed that the Hardy Boyz were nowhere to be seen on RAW this week and if you went to any WWE Live Events, the duo was absent from those too. Why? Well, the answer has finally been revealed.

Don't worry about the future of The Hardy Boyz in WWE just yet as the reason for their absence from RAW and live events in Canada last week is a relatively simple one. As you may know, Jeff Hardy has had numerous legal issues in the past and that makes crossing the border into Canada very tricky.

He's been convicted of felony drug charges and drug trafficking and a variety of other offences related to that so getting into the country definitely would have been problematic for both Jeff and WWE. As a result, he and Matt were given the week off and WWE Live events were changed so that Sheamus and Cesaro vs. The Revival vs. The Hardy Boyz become just Sheamus and Cesaro vs. The Revival.

There was, however, a plan for Matt to show up on RAW alone where he would have been attacked by The Revival to further that storyline but plans changed when Scott Dawson suffered the biceps injury which is likely to keep him out of action through SummerSlam. WWE is hoping to sort Jeff's legal issues by the time the next Canadian tour rolls around, so it's not all bad news!
