Unless you've been living under a rock, chances are you've heard about the recent assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Now wearing a bandage on his ear following the incident, Trump has been taking centre stage at the Republican National Convention this week and has had plenty of noteworthy supporters on hand. However, we'd be willing to bet you didn't count on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan being among them!
Hogan is a longtime supporter of Trump, but in a clip that's gone viral over the past 12 hours or so, he's seen hitting the Republican National Convention stage to his classic WWE theme song before delivering a rousing promo about the Republican nominee.
The impassioned Hogan told attendees, "What happened last week...when they took a shot at my hero...They tried to kill the greatest president of the United States! Enough was enough!"
With that, he tore off his shirt to reveal another - a Trump/Vance 2024 t-shirt - beneath it.
He'd also tell the crowd, "Over my career, I’ve been in the ring with some of the biggest, some of the baddest dudes on the planet, and I’ve squared off against warriors, ooh yeah, savages."
"And I’ve even, like I said, body-slammed giants in the middle of the ring. And I know tough guys, but let me tell you something, brother, Donald Trump is the toughest of them all," Hogan continued. "All you criminals, all you lowlifes, all you scumbags... Whatcha gonna do when Donald Trump and all the Trumpamaniacs run wild on you, brother?"
After explaining why he's chosen to openly campaign for someone he claims to have been friends with for 35 years (it's always hard to say with Hogan; he's become infamous for telling tall tales and once said he worked 400 days in a single year), the wrestler bellowed, "Let Trump-O-Mania rule again, let Trump-O-Mania make America great again!
If you're wondering why Hogan was there to introduce Trump, it's likely because the Presidential candidate is a longtime pro wrestling fan. He's been involved in a few high-profile WWE storylines, primarily with his longtime friend and former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Hogan remains a divisive figure among wrestling fans; a 2015 leaked video saw him making racist comments about his daughter's then-boyfriend, prompting WWE to cut ties with him. He's since been welcomed back into the company, albeit in a limited capacity.
