With Jey Uso now part of RAW, Jimmy has been left to fend for himself on SmackDown. Last week, we saw Solo Sikoa make it clear that he'll only be out of The Bloodline only when the Tribal Chief says so, and it appears Jimmy has chosen to accept the inevitable.
In a backstage segment during last night's show, Jimmy approached Paul Heyman and said that, as no one actually told him he was out, he very much still wants to be part of the faction.
However, with neither Roman Reigns nor Solo said to be in Boston, Heyman suggested he deal with AJ Styles in their match while he talks to The Tribal Chief. When the Phenomenal One encountered the Wiseman, he grabbed him by the throat...leaving Heyman to be saved by Jimmy.
With that, a grateful Heyman called the Head of the Table, suggesting there's still more Bloodline drama to come.
Jimmy ended up losing his match against Styles, though the night ended with Solo showing up and dealing with the former WWE Champion...while staring down The Judgement Day. It looks like WWE is slowly laying the groundwork for the next stage in this story, and we're intrigued to see where it's heading.
Reigns hasn't been seen on TV for several weeks now and isn't expected to be a major part of WWE programming again until the build to Survivor Series begins next month.
As for how Jey will ultimately factor into this, it was recently reported that WWE intends to eventually build to a "brother vs. brother" match...they just haven't decided when. "Hearing that at least one creative force backstage wants WWE to wait for WrestleMania to do the first Uso ‘Brother v Brother’ match," @WrestleVotes explained. "However that’s unlikely at this point I’m told, with the feeling that 35 weeks is too long of a stretch."
