John Cena kicked off last night's episode of SmackDown, confirming rumours he will host this weekend's Payback PLE.
The leader of the Cenation has only made sporadic appearances since establishing himself in Hollywood, but with writers and actors on strike, it's looking like we can expect Cena to stick around for at least a couple of months. Needless to say, it's good to have him back.
Last week's episode of SmackDown was supposed to feature Jimmy Uso's reaction to his twin Jey quitting WWE. Jimmy betrayed him at SummerSlam, later claiming he did it to stop his brother from becoming like Roman Reigns.
That segment didn't take place as planned because WWE instead paid tribute to the late Bray Wyatt.
Last night, however, Jimmy wasted no time hitting the ring to confront John Cena and he did so with a new attitude and new entrance music (which you can listen to in one of the Tweets below).
The former Undisputed Tag Team Champion compared Cena to Reigns and defended his actions by claiming he saved his brother. This Jimmy seems a tad delusional and is definitely a heel, prompting the crowd to erupt into cheers when he was hit with a well-deserved Attitude Adjustment.
For now, The Bloodline story appears to be on hold, though we'd guess the plan is eventually for Jimmy and Jey to square off, putting an end to their time as one of WWE's most popular tag teams. That's a shame, but both men getting the chance to shine as singles stars has been a long time coming in many respects.
