Yesterday evening's episode of RAW aired live from Brussels, Belgium, a little earlier than normal. However, it wasn't a show to miss because it opened with John Cena making his first WWE appearance since turning heel and joining forces with The Rock at Elimination Chamber.
The crowd mercilessly booed Cena, though there were alternating chants of "Let's Go, Cena, Cena Sucks," "You Sold Out," and "F**k You, Cena."
The 16-time WWE Champion started by saying the fans have made it easy for him because, over the past 25 years, he's been the victim of an abusive relationship. Accusing everyone of bullying him and never being happy with what he did, Cena added that he's neither a heel nor a babyface; instead, he's a human being and he's had enough of the fans being awful to him.
In a blistering promo, Cena also said that they've ruined his retirement tour and never once asked how he's doing. Addressing the fact he came out with the same entrance music and ring gear, the Leader of the Cenation put that down to us simply not deserving it.
When those in the building started chanting for Cody Rhodes, Cena called his WrestleMania opponent the new flavour of the month and described them as pathetic.
However, with plenty of fans still chanting "Let's Go, Cena," the WWE veteran decided to turn on them too. Calling it a toxic relationship, he tore into his supporters for making him the butt of an "invisible" joke and said he's breaking up with them, whether they like it or not.
Rhodes made his way out to the ring and expressed disappointment in Cena being a "whiny bitch" before warning him that he wants to face the real Cena at WrestleMania, not whoever this guy is.
Also of note is what wasn't said. Cena hasn't addressed his decision to team up with The Rock and neither man got physical, despite the beatdown Cena delivered to the American Nightmare earlier this month.
