While CM Punk has (mostly) received a warm welcome from his fellow pro wrestlers since returning to WWE, there are some who haven't been quite so willing to forgive his past transgressions.
Among them is Kevin Owens; the Prizefighter is believed to have butted heads with Punk during their Ring of Honor days and is close friends with The Young Bucks, an AEW tag team that has no love for the Second City Saint.
Talking to Mail Online, KO didn't hold back when it came to revealing the extent of his relationship (or lack thereof) with Punk.
"We never talk," he told the site. "We have no reason to talk. We're not friends. We're not, we don't, you know, we're just not, I don't know. We have no reason to talk. If we work together, we will talk, but just not a thing we do."
An Owens vs. Punk match is an enticing prospect but perhaps not something either man will be pushing for. It's clear nothing has changed for Owens anyway as these latest remarks echo what he said back in April.
"Well, we have no relationship," the former Universal Champion said at the time. "We're not each other's type of people, I don't think. We'll acknowledge each other. There's a ten-foot vicinity that if we enter in, then we have to kinda, 'Hey, hi.' Otherwise, we just don't, and it's fine. It's perfectly fine."
"I don't know that, and I don't care, to be honest," Owens responded when it was put to him that Punk has turned over a new leaf. "I am who I am, he is who he is, and it's fine that way."
One person he does have plenty of praise for is Randy Orton. Going back to that original interview, KO shared his admiration for The Viper when he stated, "I have an unlimited amount of respect for Randy and what he is to our locker room, and what he means to our locker room and to WWE."
"In my opinion, he's the biggest star in WWE. There's really something unmatched when you're in the ring getting ready for a match, whether it's against him or as his partner, and his music hits. The whole arena goes insane."
"A lot of superstars that have been the biggest names in WWE over the last several years, such as Roman [Reigns] or [John] Cena, they were polarising figures," Owens added. "You'd have some people that hated them, some people that loved them. Randy, I would say 98 per cent of the audience loves him."
"And I think that's a testament to what he's meant for so long in WWE so getting the chance to team with him has been such a thrill for me."
