Reports from several people in attendance have confirmed that two title matches actually took place on SmackDown LIVE last night that didn't air on television.

The first went down before the live broadcast, and saw US Champion Jeff Hardy successfully defend his title against Shelton Benjamin. Then, after the show went off the air Carmella defeated Charlotte Flair to retain her women's championship by pin with her feet on the ropes. The Queen laid out 'Mella afterwards, however.

SmackDown was a very entertaining show so we're not going to bemoan the exclusion of these matches too much, but it does seem very odd not to spotlight at least one major title defense on TV.
