Looks Like Kairi Hojo And Some Other Top Female Japanese Stars Might Be Heading To WWE/NXT Soon

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Kairi Hojo has signed a WWE contract, and will most likely make her debut on NXT later this year.

Apparently, the company took notice of Hojo when she made an appearance on the third season of Lucha Underground, playing a member of Black Lotus' Triad along with Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani, who are all top singles wrestlers in Japan’s World Wonder Ring Stardom, or just “Stardom” for short. Word is that since Hojo signed, Shirai (highly regarded as one of the best in the world... of any gender) is reconsidering an earlier offer from WWE, and they may well be looking at Iwatani too - though she is said to be considering retirement soon.

We'll have to see how all of this shakes out, but there's no doubt that Hojo, at least, would be a terrific addition to NXT's female roster, which has suffered since the likes of Bayley, Sasha, Becky and Charlotte were called up. Need proof? Just check out the vid below - and pay particular attention to the diving elbow.
