Well, that was quite something, eh?
Money in the Bank may have aired in the middle of the afternoon in the U.S. (due to it taking place in London, England), but WWE still delivered an incredible PLE packed full of surprises. The first came early on when Damian Priest dashed the hopes and dreams of LA Knight - and his rapidly growing fanbase - by becoming Señor Money in the Bank after pulling down the briefcase.
The Women's Tag Team Championship saw Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defend their titles against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, but we were all left reeling after Baszler attacked her tag team partner right in the middle of the match. The Baddest Woman on the Planet was left helpless, leading to Liv and Raquel regaining the titles they never lost.
GUNTHER defeated Matt Riddle to retain his Intercontinental Championship, but Drew McIntyre made his surprise return (the last time we saw him was at WrestleMania) to confront the Austrian Superstar, laying him out with the Claymore and setting up an exciting new feud.
Cody Rhodes scored a win over Dominik Mysterio in a memorable match that was followed by John Cena's WWE return. He was there to hype the crowd up, strongly hinting that WrestleMania could eventually come to the UK. Grayson Waller interrupted to claim the Show of Shows would be better off in Australia, and after a sneak attack on Cena, he was sent packing with an Attitude Adjustment.
The Women's Money in the Bank ladder match was another standout bout, with Bayley turning on her DamageCTRL partner Iyo Sky. However, both she and Becky Lynch ended up handcuffed to a ladder, allowing Sky to climb to the top and pull down the briefcase.
Seth Rollins and Finn Balor clashed with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, and it looked like Balor was about to win the title...until he was distracted by a hovering Priest. Rollins escaped with his title as tensions in The Judgement Day continues to grow.
With that, it was main event time and, in what can only be described as a match of the year contender, The Usos overcame Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, with the Tribal Chief pinned for the first time since 2019 by Jey. With that, it appears the stage is set for the cousins to clash at SummerSlam next month.
