There have been conflicting reports about Nevill's status with WWE since the former "King of The Cruiserweights" walked out on the company a few months ago, the most recent of which offered a positive update on the situation.

However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer, the British wrestler won't be returning to action any time soon.

Apparently, Neville is still under contract with WWE but has no interest in working for them any more. The belief is that the company is refusing to grant him his release, forcing him sit out the remainder of his contract. Once that deal has expired, he will have a 90 days non-compete.

It's a shame that both parties were unable to work something out, because Neville is without a doubt one of the most talented all-round Superstars on the roster. Still, WWE's loss might well be the Independent scene's gain.
