Roman Reigns Fired Paul Heyman On SMACKDOWN...And Ended Up Being DESTROYED By Brock Lesnar

Last night's episode of SmackDown saw Universal Champion Roman Reigns return to the show to question Paul Heyman about his interactions with Brock Lesnar the previous week.

Pushing his Special Counsel for details on whether he knew The Beast would return at SummerSlam, Reigns grew increasingly suspicious and asked Heyman directly whether he works for him or if he's Lesnar's Advocate. Heyman insisted that he's been protecting him from Lesnar, receiving a hug from the Head of the Table.

Reigns proceeded to thank Heyman for his service to him and his family, then fired his manager and hit him with a Superman Punch. Things were about to go one step further, though, as Reigns geared up to hit the downed Heyman with a chair.

That brought Lesnar to the ring, and he proceeded to decimate Jimmy and Jey Uso and Reigns (thanks to a low blow and two F5s on the Big Dog). It feels a lot like we're being swerved here, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if Heyman reveals himself as being loyal to Roman when he faces Brock at Day 1.

We'll see what happens on January 1, but check out some SmackDown highlights below:
