While Seth Rollins has main evented a WrestleMania after cashing in on Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion, he's never headlined the show in a traditional manner. That's in stark contrast to his former Shield brother, Roman Reigns, and the Head of the Table is expected to once again be in that top spot against Cody Rhodes this April.
While WrestleMania is scheduled to take place over two nights, it's doubtful Rollins will finish the show on either evening, despite the fact WWE is lining him up for a big match with Logan Paul.
In the video below, Rollins shares his take on whether Rhodes should be the one to finally dethrone Reigns and admits to feeling "slighted" that he's not been considered for the main event spot.
"I don’t know the answer to that question man. It’s very hard for me to look at that match unbiased. I want that match. I want that spot. I want that title, and to not have it...there’s a lot of salt in the wound of having to talk about it," he says. "It’s difficult for me to analyze."
"I will say you’re looking at a rock and a hard place. You’ve got Roman Reigns, who is on an incredible run, but you’ve got Cody Rhodes, who is riding a lot of momentum."
"When those two guys meet if that is the match, it could be Sami Zayn in that spot. We’ll see after Elimination Chamber. It’s going to be a generational main event of WrestleMania," Rollins adds. "Again, it’s hard for me to feel anything but slighted by it, so that is what it is.”
Original plans called for Reigns to face The Rock on one night and for Rhodes, Rollins, and Drew McIntyre to battle for the title on the other. With Dwayne Johnson not returning to the company, the idea was scrapped, and Rollins now finds himself on a collision course with Paul on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
