Shane McMahon Returns On RAW To Introduce New "Shoot Fight" RAW UNDERGROUND Segment

Yeah, this has proven to be a divisive one to say the least! As promised, Shane McMahon returned to Raw this week, and he was there to introduce a new "Fight Club" style segment called Raw Underground...

This week's episode of Raw saw the debut of Raw Underground: a Fight Club-style winner stays on (although that wasn't consistent... of course) segment, featuring "shoot" fights.

Shane McMahon hosted, and we saw mostly unknown - although Dolph Ziggler and The Viking Raiders' Erik did drop by to take out some jobbers - talents stepping up to do battle in an Octagon-like area. There were even some scantily clad ladies dancing to the tunes - although the camera didn't linger very long!

In the final segment of the show, The Hurt Business arrived to "take over," and MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin proceeded top annihilate most of the jobbers. Shane told them they could come back anytime, and that was it.

Honestly, this was quite well produced and has a lot of potential. The problem is that, like pretty much everything else on Raw and SmackDown these days, it's clear that there's no long-term plan and Vince is just throwing whatever he can at the wall in the hope that something sticks and those ratings go up. Still, we're willing to stick with it and see where it goes.

What did you guys think of Raw Underground?
