SMACKDOWN Star Ali Has Been Given His First Name Back By WWE

We've lost count of the number of Superstars who have lost part of their names courtesy of WWE (remember when Andrade was Andrade "Cien" Almas?) but Ali now joins an elite club to regain their name...

SmackDown Superstar Ali has undergone another name change today. He was Mustafa Ali when he first showed up in WWE but that was quickly shortened to "Ali" as the company has a habit of shortening the names of talent (Alexander Rusev became Rusev, for example).

The chance was made on WWE.com earlier today and while we don't know why this has happened, you have to hope Mustafa Ali now receives his long overdue push.

Regardless, he joins an elite club of Superstars who have been given their first names back, including Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Ali made the leap to the blue brand from 205 Live earlier this year but an ill-timed injury hurt what many believed was going to be a push which would have seen him challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania

How do you guys feel about this name change?
