There Are Reportedly People Within WWE Pushing For Unhappy Superstars To Be Granted Their Release

It's no secret that WWE won't release talent in order to avoid them making the leap to All Elite Wrestling or NJPW but it's said that there are those within the company who think that should change...

Sin Cara has become the latest Superstar to ask WWE for his release and, as of right now, it doesn't appear as if there are any plans for the company to let him out of his contract. That potentially means he'll be stuck in WWE until 2022!

Now, though, Dave Meltzer has revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are people in the company who thinks that should change. "There are people there who believe that all these guys should be let go because they’re unhappy and all that. There’s other people there who are like, 'No one’s getting fired and no one’s getting released."

He added that he doesn't know who is pushing for that to happen but it's safe to assume Vince McMahon has the final say. For example, it was Triple H who convinced him to let Goldust out of his contract earlier this year and he, of course, ended up heading straight to All Elite Wrestling.

As WWE continues signing independent talent and offering current Superstars big money to stick around, it's possible some releases could happen to bring down what they're spending on talent in the quarterly reports.

For now, we'll have to wait and see.
