After Bayley managed to defeat Shotzi prior to Money in the Bank, she and IYO SKY attacked the babyface backstage and proceeded to cut off a chunk of her trademark green hair.

On Friday, Shotzi appeared on the TitanTron in a pre-recorded video package and made it clear she's coming for Damage CTRL. Laughing maniacally, the former NXT Superstar started shaving her head, shocking fans and leaving them wondering what's next for her in WWE.

While this appears to be leading to a slight character change for Shotzi, we now have news on what exactly led to her cutting off her hair.

It's said that the SmackDown Superstar decided to do so in order to show solidarity with her sister, who is currently in chemotherapy while battling cancer. Taking to her Instagram stories, Shotzi shared some photos of her sibling and wrote, "I love you sister! You are my inspiration!"

This is unlikely to be referenced on WWE television, but it's incredibly inspirational and hopefully something Shotzi can continue to discuss on social media.

The response online has been overwhelmingly positive, with many of Shotzi's fellow WWE Superstars praising her actions. The expectation is that this is building to a match at SummerSlam, though it's currently unclear whether Bayley will be fit to compete.

Read more about that here.
