Braun Strowman's WWE release shocked fans, especially as he'd been pushed as one of the company's top stars in the weeks leading up to that. Since then, there's been a lot of speculation about what's next for the Monster Among Men, especially after reports he was demanding an unrealistic amount of money for future appearances.
As far as we're aware, AEW hasn't shown much interest in signing Strowman (real name, Adam Scherr). There have been rumblings about an IMPACT Wrestling debut, while some are convinced that he's set to make his return to WWE...for less money, of course.
Well, Ringside News has shared an update on where things stand with Strowman and they note that "if WWE made any offer to Braun Strowman, he would be back in the fold immediately."
However, their source adds: "We keep getting asked about Braun Strowman’s situation. Here is all we know. WWE has no interest in having him back. We were told if it was going to happen then he would be back in the fold already. His non-compete clause is over and WWE isn’t interested in having him back." That's a little surprising, but WWE clearly no longer sees anything in him.
Strowman's 90-day non-compete has reached its end, and he's going to face EC3 at an upcoming indie show. From there, his future is likely to become a little clearer, and the site notes that IMPACT Wrestling is looking like the destination for the former Universal Champion.
We'll keep you guys updated as learn more about what's next for Strowman/Scherr.
