Matt Hardy reinvented himself in TNA and on the independent scene by becoming Broken Matt Hardy but he's now Woken in WWE (something which was sorely needed after he and Jeff returned as the Hardy Boyz). Asked in a recent interview about his feud with Bray Wyatt, Matt made it clear that theirs is a rivalry which dates back thousands of years. That's right, he's gone full on method!

"The force, the condition, that inhabits Bray Wyatt – named Sister Abigail – I knew her thousands of years ago," said Hardy. "So that's why our rivalry starts for. The cognizant ability I have to stay in contact with my soul and Sister Abigail many, many thousands of years ago." Just how far WWE will take this gimmick remains to be seen but could we return to the Hardy Compound?

In the interview, he explained that the "Lake of Reincarnation" came alive once he inherited the Hardy Compound and added that Senor Benjamin and his two sons currently reside there. Could that be a hint we'll see those elements of his character return in WWE? It's possible. We'll just have to wait and see but assuming fans respond well to his awakening, the Woken world could expand.
