WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash Has Had A Change Of Heart About CM Punk: "[He's] Won Me Back"

Professional wrestling legend Kevin Nash has changed his tune about CM Punk, offering the Second City Saint high praise indeed while discussing his recent verbal clash with Bron Breakker.

CM Punk and Kevin Nash first shared the ring in 2011, and they didn't exactly become fast friends. The WWE Hall of Famer disapproved of what the Second City Saint was saying on the mic during their feud (even when, objectively speaking, there was some truth to it).

Their war of words has since continued in the press, though the former nWo member seems to talk a lot more about Punk than the Best in the World does about him!

He recently tore into the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion for wearing a t-shirt during a main event match on RAW, but appears to have now had a change of heart about his old foe.

Sharing his thoughts on the memorable verbal clash between Punk and Bron Breakker during last week's RAW, Nash said, "I’m just going to call him Bronson Steiner. I can’t Bron Breakker with whatever the f***. I’ve known Bronson since he was born. So I thought his promo work was strong. I thought he really stepped up."

"But at the same time, it’s just like he was really good, and then you give the f***ing mic to Phil, and it’s another level. And I f***ing think that Phil is a better babyface promo than he is a f***ing heel promo," Nash continued. "You know, when he said that, he wasn’t ready not to be the champion. It didn’t feel contrived; it felt [frick]ing sincere. Now he won me back this week, because he was strong, but he didn’t work."

Elsewhere in the interview, Nash shared his thoughts on recent comments from William Regal about modern wrestlers needing to work more safely to help them avoid neck injuries. The former WWE Champion concurred, reminding today's rising stars that "the beauty of this business is it’s supposed to be a f***ing work, man."

He added, "You know you’re supposed to go to the ring, and when you leave the ring 17 minutes later, you’re supposed to be in the exact same shape. That’s the art of it, yeah, if you’re in a [frick]ing neck board with the [frick]ing medics around you, you have failed."

"If it’s a spot that you’re both on the top rope and it takes you guys 11 minutes to [frick]ing skip, just like, really, you know that’s like having a premonition that you’re going to get an auto rack in a half hour, and you just say...don't leave your house. You just go back in the house and put the keys on the [frick]ing kitchen table," Nash concluded.
