WWE Has Abandoned Plans To Trademark EC3 But Is That A Sign He's Leaving The Company?

It's been revealed that WWE abandoned the "EC3" trademark on Saturday, January 25th. The company originally filed for that on June 21st, 2019 but it seems like WWE decided against pursuing it after failing to respond to the initial notice of refusal within the given 6 month period.

It's said that the refusal was issued because EC3 himself filed to register the trademark for himself last April.

WWE will, of course, be able to re-file their own application at a later date and that would potentially result in him being involved in a legal battle not all that different to the one Ryback currently finds himself in. Whether this is a sign that he's now leaving the company is hard to say but EC3 is never used on television and appears to be a Superstar Vince McMahon has given up on.

We'll keep you guys updated.
