It's easy to forget this but when Buddy Murphy started working in NXT, he was known simply as "Murphy." Eventually, that was changed to "Buddy Murphy" but it now looks like his first name is being taken away again as WWE continues to steal names from its Superstars (remember Alexander Rusev and Antonio Cesaro?).

According to his WWE.com profile, Buddy Murphy is back to being Murphy and it's no secret that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon goes back and forth on these things (Charlotte Flair is a good example).

Murphy is currently receiving a noteworthy push on RAW and is currently one half of the Tag Team Champions alongside former Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Paul Heyman is said to be a big fan of his work and chances are we could see him continue rising up the card throughout 2020.

What are your thoughts on Murphy's name change?
