WWE Reportedly Wanted Ronda Rousey To Compete At This Year's WRESTLEMANIA In Tampa, Florida

We haven't seen the Baddest Woman on the Planet in WWE since she lost the RAW Women's Championship to Becky Lynch at last year's WrestleMania, and it turns out she turned down the chance to return this April...

It's become clear recently that there are no plans for Ronda Rousey to return to WWE this year, and Dave Meltzer mentioned during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the company wanted her to appear during this year's WrestleMania in Tampa, Florida.

"I can’t read Ronda’s mind, especially now. Ronda, from what I understand she’s really happy," he said of her time away from the ring. "Look, if you don’t think that they wanted her for this show [WrestleMania 36] and the fact that she’s not on it says something, but I would be — it’s just hard for me to believe that Ronda won’t be on the LA show."

Rousey has said that she wants to step back into the squared circle again, but noted that she has no plans to ever be full-time again. The former RAW Women's Champion battling Becky Lynch at this year's WrestleMania would have been great to see, but it seems like Shayna Baszler is going to fill that void now.

It is, of course, possible that Rousey makes a surprise return to cost Lynch the title, but that seems unlikely and we'll now have to hope that the Baddest Woman on the Planet is part of next year's Show of Shows in Hollywood, California.

What do you guys think?
