WWE Responds To Reports That Superstars Don't Want To Go To CROWN JEWEL In Saudi Arabia

It was recently reported that many WWE Superstars are unhappy about being expected to compete in Saudi Arabia and now the company has responded to that with, you guessed it, a frustratingly vague statement.

Last week, Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez reported that many WWE Superstars are privately saying that they do not want to work the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia after everything that's happened in the country recently. Sports Illustrated has now run a similar story, highlighting the negative media attention WWE has received and pointing out the "discomfort" of some of the talent.

In response to that, WWE issued a vague statement reading: "As always, we maintain an open line of communication with our performers, as we continue to monitor the situation."

As of right now, Crown Jewel is still scheduled to take place and it's easy to imagine any Superstars who kick up a fuss about going to Saudi Arabia being punished somehow behind the scenes for speaking out. WWE is holding a show in Cardiff the day after the PPV but that arena certainly won't be used for the show as it's far too small and only holds around 6000 fans in total. Stay tuned.
