During last night's episode of RAW, WWE confirmed that this year's Survivor Series PPV will once again put the spotlight on "brand supremacy." As per usual, that means we'll see RAW and SmackDown going head to head, with a winner crowned depending on which show wins the most matches.
That's led to some questionable booking decisions in previous years, though fans were on board with seeing NXT steal the show a few years ago (unfortunately, that appeared to be a one-off in 2019).
WWE has also confirmed that the main event of the show will pit RAW's WWE Champions against SmackDown's Universal Champion. As of right now, that means we'll see Big E squaring off with Roman Reigns, a bout WWE has actually been teasing on both shows for several weeks now.
Of course, it's worth noting that WWE has frequently made surprise title changes before Survivor Series simply to make bigger matches for the PPV. For example, Drew McIntyre beat Randy Orton on RAW for the WWE Championship just a week before last year's event, while AJ Styles picked up a shock win over Jinder Mahal for the same title on a UK episode of SmackDown in 2017.
if that happens this year, it will, unfortunately, more than likely be Big E who drops his title. Hopefully, WWE sees the value in having him face the Head of the Table in singles action!
