- This comes after WRKD Wrestling reported that Gunther may retire Lesnar next.
- Following Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE reportedly sees "Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Je’Von Evans, and Leon Slater as superstars."
- As for how those backstage reacted to John Cena's loss to Gunther, Fightful Select has said people were "mixed." However, "most on the creative and booking side supported [it]."

- Despite speculation that Cody Rhodes' emotional reaction to Cena's retirement at Saturday Night's Main Event was meant to set the stage for him to battle Gynther down the line, Fightful Select says none of it was planned.
- Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was not backstage at the event, reports PW Insider. Linda McMahon, however, was in the building.
- WWE recently announced that SmackDown is set to return to three hours. Bodyslam.net notes that the roster will be given a "boost" for the planned change, and that WWE is aware the Friday night show "desperately needs help" with talent and creative.
