The December 13, 2024 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown emanated out of the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
For those who missed it, here are the results of all the matches that took place, as well as notes on the other highlights that happened during this episode.
— Luke Gallows defeated Giovanni Vinci by pinfall in a dark match recorded prior to SmackDown.
— Jimmy Uso cut a promo about his broken toe that he suffered at WWE Survivor Series in the WarGames match and how The OG Bloodline came out on top. WarGames is behind them, and now, the question is what is in front of them. As he was hyping himself up, he was then attacked by Drew McIntyre, who laid him out with a Claymore kick.
— After the commercial break, in a backstage segment, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was berating Drew McIntyre when he was approached by Bianca Belair and Naomi about Jade Cargill's injury status and the state of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship titles. Aldis doesn't have any updates about Cargill and said he doesn't have any choice but to have them relinquish the tag titles. Naomi stepped up to suggest that she can fill in for Cargill. Aldis said he'd "run it up the flag pole" and that if this works, they have to be ready to defend the titles even as soon as next week.
— WWE Women's United States Championship Tournament Semi Finals Match: Michin defeated Tiffany Stratton by pinfall after a Seoul Food.
— The new WWE tag team champions #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) were spotlighted and tried to give some reasoning for why they turned heel.
— Roman Reigns reflected on how he lost everything this year, and he didn't take the ula fala originally, but earned it. He challenges Solo Sikoa to a Tribal Combat match on the January 6th debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
— There was a backstage segment where Legado Del Fantasma was upset at Nick Aldis, saying he plays favorites and that he'd be better off going to Raw and being under Adam Pearce instead. Carmelo Hayes was also there to help set up his match against a mystery opponent.
— Singles Match: Braun Strowman defeated Carmelo Hayes by pinfall in a quick squash.
— LA Knight defeated Solo Sikoa by disqualification due to interference from Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, who triple-teamed Knight. The Bloodline continued to beat down LA Knight after the bell until Andrade and Apollo Crews came out to make the save, but the babyfaces were unable to stand tall, as The Bloodline managed to still take all three out.
— Pretty Deadly approached Braun Strowman backstage, saying that he'd be perfect to play the monster in "Pretty Deadly: The Musical" He rejected their offer and bumped into Byron Saxton, who was about to interview him, but A-Town Down Under immediately told Saxton to buzz off and invited Strowman next week on The Grayson Waller Effect.
— WWE Women's United States Championship Tournament Semi Finals Match: Chelsea Green defeated Bayley by pinfall.
— Alex Shelley challenged Johnny Gargano to a match for next week.
— A vignette hyped Shinsuke Nakamura.
— Backstage, Nia Jax told Tiffany Stratton that not everyone was made to be a singles champion like herself. Candice LeRae also downplayed Stratton a few times and informed Jax that she convinced Nick Aldis to give herself and Jax a tag title match for next week.
— There was a face-to-face promo segment with "The American Nightmare" and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes opposite his opponent for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, Kevin Owens, that was actually Cody in the ring with Michael Cole, as Owens was backstage in his car. Rhodes went to go after him, but Owens sprung a trap. After a brawl segment ensued, it was Owens standing tall to end the show.
