Roman Reigns' return at SummerSlam has set the stage for what looks set to be another Bloodline Civil War. Solo Sikoa has allied himself with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa and, as of now, the original Tribal Chief is going it alone.
We'd imagine that Jimmy and Jey Uso will eventually reunite with Reigns, though that could still be a long way from happening (Jimmy remains sidelined with an injury and Jey is doing his own thing as a singles star on RAW).
Talking to Sports Illustrated, Jey shared high praise for the true Head of the Table. "There is no one better," the former Tag Team Champion said of his cousin. "He makes it look so easy. I look up to him. He’s got this art form down."
As for what it's been like to be a singles star, Jey added, "It’s a little scary. You’ve got to sink or swim or your own. I’m still getting used to that."
It's been a little over a year since The Usos went their separate ways and, following Jey and Jimmy's divisive WrestleMania match, the latter hasn't really had a chance to shine. As you'll recall, he was written off TV after being kicked out of the Bloodline by Solo.
"Solo needs his ass whupped," Jey admitted while talking about his and Jimmy's younger brother. "There’s no doubt about that. And people are going to love Jimmy. He’s the funniest guy I know, so much funnier than me. You’ve seen glimpses of what he can do on his own. Wait until you see his greatness. He’s up next."
"We’re here to keep the bloodline and the lineage strong," he continued, referring to Anoa’i family legacy. "I’m very proud of it. This is our family’s life. It’s not a story, it’s our reality."
"I need to deliver when the time is right. I won’t stop putting in the work until I do."
For the time being, it seems Jey will have his hands full dealing with The Judgement Day on RAW and possibly going after the tag team titles with Sami Zayn.
