WWE's Television Partners Are NOT Happy With The Company's Decision To Release Bray Wyatt/The Fiend

Over the weekend, it was confirmed that WWE has decided to release Bray Wyatt, but it's now said that the company's television partners are not happy with the decision and what it could mean for the future.

Yesterday, we told you that veteran members of the WWE roster were left feeling like their jobs are no longer safe after the shocking release of Bray Wyatt due to "budget cuts."

Now, though, it seems the company's television partners are equally unhappy. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, both NBC Universal (the parent company of the USA Network) and FOX are frustrated that Wyatt has been released by WWE. It's not because they're major fans of The Fiend, but a result of concerns that "top stars are being let go."

WWE has released a series of huge names in 2021, many of whom have already debuted for AEW or are likely going to sign with the company soon. That makes Dynamite a more appealing prospect for advertisers, something that's already the case given how much higher the number of viewers they draw in the key 18-34 demographic is.

In other news, Wyatt is indeed under a 90-day non-compete clause so we won't find out where he's heading next until the end of October at the soonest (unless he does any interviews before then).
