Several weeks ago, WWE casually put out the idea that there was something going on called the "transfer window", with Chad Gable briefly mentioning it in a promo when he appeared on Friday Night SmackDown despite being a member of the Monday Night Raw roster.
Michael Cole would go on to clarify just a bit more, saying that around the new year, this transfer window would allow talent to move between the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT rosters, without giving any firm rules or explanations.
Over the past few weeks, many WWE Superstars have teased being traded to another brand, appearing on different shows seemingly at random. WWE has continued to treat each appearance as something that isn't set in stone, never bothering to change any of their profiles on the WWE.com Superstars page to indicate a full-on trade has been made.
However, tonight, at least one trade has been stated flat out to have taken place, and again, it was treated in a very casual, blink and you miss it type of deal.
At the beginning of a backstage segment with Karrion Kross and The Miz, which would quickly turn into a means for The Miz to get beaten by Sami Zayn, Kross mentioned that The Wyatt Sicks had been moved over to the SmackDown roster, giving a half-hearted reasoning for why their feud with The Final Testament is just over and done with, allowing Kross and Miz and co. to move on.
We can assume this means all parties of The Wyatt Sicks are now on the blue brand, with Bo Dallas (aka Uncle Howdy), Dexter Lumis (aka Mercy the Buzzard), Erick Rowan (aka Rambling Rabbit), Joe Gacy (aka Huskus the Pig Boy) and Nikki Cross (aka Sister Abigail) becoming a problem for Friday nights and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
Also noteworthy, Nia Jax interrupted a promo Rhea Ripley was cutting to say that she was speaking to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce backstage about the transfer window when she decided to just come out, walk to the ring, and announce herself as being the first official entrant for this year's Women's Royal Rumble match.
Interestingly, the commentary team specifically mentioned that there is no confirmation that Jax is going to be a part of the Raw roster going forward, despite the implications of exactly what she had said and why she was there to begin with, but that speaks to how WWE may still be looking at this as more of a means to play around with reshuffling the deck without having to fully commit to any of those changes.
